Spotlight on the Raku
This weeks spotlight is on another of our long standing classic styles here at Bill Baber. The Raku has always been one of our favourite garments, especially for exploring beautiful colour combinations (did we mention we love colour) and you can always find it at the workshop in an abundance of unique colours!
Sky Raku Top
The Raku Top is a style based on the Dot Top. Its a looser fitting style featuring a design inspired by the fractured glaze effect made famous in Japanese Raku ceramics.
A simple pullover with a box sleeve, the pattern around the hem is a lovely attention grabber and makes this a versatile garment which is ideal with trousers, denims and skirts.
Coal Raku Top
Soft pure linen will keep you warm when you want to be, but is lightweight and breathable so we are sure you’ll be wearing it all year. We make to order a variety of colour-ways, inspired by the beautiful colour combinations we find around us in the nature, which can be found on our online shop here. They are three colour garments but please don’t under estimate how hard it is to make these beautiful colour-ways, we have one of the World’s greatest colourists (in our humble opinion) these are Helen Baber’s creations.
