Spotlight on the Skye Jacket
The Skye Jacket is a perfect Autumn to Winter wool Jacket, knitted in luxurious Donegal Merino Wool. This chunky Jacket is not too heavy as the Merino gives it incredible warmth without too much weight. The Skye Jacket is a superb addition to the collection bringing some winter warmth to our range while still carrying the elegance and classic style we are known for.
Soft to the touch, Skye is made to fit loosely as a statement piece. The hem and reversible cuff offer a fun pop of colour in contrast to the main body of the jacket. Skye falls to below the hips in a classic and flattering shape. We find it pairs well with jeans or slacks and a plain shirt underneath so the Celtic motif and colours stand out.
We bring the yarn in from Ireland and blend unique colourways here in our Workshop in Edinburgh, Scotland giving the Skye Jacket a truly Celtic heart.

The Skye is knitted in a combination of two to three complementary colours, with the Celtic Knot detail along the cuff and bottom edge. We like to turn back the neckline and cuff to reveal the reverse colour to add variation to this garment. In our Grassmarket shop, we often pair them with a matching (or contrasting) Skaramanda brooch. These Brooches are the perfect accessory for the Skye and we have them made to complement our colour-ways so there is always a good match to be found online or in the shop.
