The Orkney Snood has fast established itself at the centre of our store collection and delighted shoppers have been walking out wearing them all year round. The linen and cotton Orkney Snood is certainly one of our best selling items and is popular throughout the year due to its lightness and breathability.
Denim Linen Snood
As it is knitted in linen and cotton, it is often popular with people who prefer not to wear wool next to their face. We carry a range of beautiful fresh colours that match our web colour ways here, at our grassmarket shop, there is always an endless variety. We love experimenting with tones and often weave two yarns together creating a stunning and unique two tone affect. We knit the snood in the same colours we use for our Linen Capes, and Silk and Linen Capes, which make a beautiful tonal outfit.
Atlantic Donegal Cape & Snood Set
We also knit the Orkney Snood in a mix of Donegal spun Merino Wool & vibrant Linen/Cotton…we call them Donegal Orkney Snoods! They are really a stunning addition to any outfit. These have been particularly popular alongside the matching Donegal and Linen Capes. This is a more mid-weight garment, something we might wear in Autumn(fall) through to Winter and early Spring. The Donegal flecked yarn is a stunning quality wool from Ireland, adding texture alongside the vibrant linen in a striped pattern.
Dariana Islay Snood
Our latest addition is the Islay Snood, a 100%Donegal Merino knit, this chunkier snood is comfortable, cosy and soft. We designed it to pair with our Islay Jacket, a luxuriously soft cropped bat wing garment, which has proved very popular with customers looking for a stylish, contemporary and flattering addition to their wardrobe. The traditional cable design use in the Islay Jacket is blended into this infinity scarf creating a simple yet effect, wrap up warm design.
