This week we put the spotlight is on our most luxurious, cosy merino wool Mull Cape. The Mull Cape has been a central part of our collection for many years and has endured as one of our most popular pieces, particularly with locals and others from the cooler climates looking for a warm winter shawl to snuggle into on cold evenings.
Each Merino Mull Cape is lovingly crafted using soft wool and features a cowl neck and long flowing body line that creates a flattering shape. The Celtic motif along the hem is inspired by designs from The Book of Kells and features throughout our collection to great effect. On closer inspection you’ll see a myriad of flecks in all sorts of colours embedded in the wool, they really are quite lovely to look at.
Knitted in soft Merino Wool, the Mull Cape combines a striking shape with lovely Celtic detailing. The rolled cowl neck features a subtle rib picked out in a colour to complement the Celtic motif along the hemline. Knitted closed along the shoulder seam, the fabric drapes beautifully off your shoulders and hangs long to a peak in the front and rear.
We love to pair these with any simple outfit! They are a unique addition to your closet and can be thrown over a dress or jeans. They are bold and colourful enough to create an eye-catching outfit! We have enjoyed developing many beautiful colour-ways, often inspired by the natural combinations we find in our own Scottish landscape. Browse our full collection here, for both the Italian Merino and Donegal Merino Caps.
