Raising Money for the Edinburgh Children’s Hospital Charity

In April of 2022 we made room in our collection for new knits and colours by saying goodbye to some of our online collection.

We were delighted to donate 10% from each sale item to the Edinburgh Children’s Hospital Charity via Work for Good.

Edinburgh Children’s Hospital Charity support the fantastic NHS staff by providing support, activities and equipment to seriously ill babies, children and young people. We’ve collected for this very worthwhile charity for years within our Grassmarket Workshop and were so pleased to bring this fundraising online to our wider community.

However when we decided to donate 10% of our sale items to ECHC we didn’t expect it to be so timely and personal to our own Bill Baber family! 

During our sale Lucy’s daughter fell from a railing she was climbing and banged her head hard enough to give her a concussion. They took her to the Edinburgh Children’s Hospital and she was kept in overnight for observation. Thankfully she was sent home the next day and was completely fine.

ECHC funded the bed Lucy slept on beside her daughter on Saturday night, the playroom full of toys, games and crafts on the ward, the shop where they were able to pick up essential supplies and a thousand other things that they probably weren’t even aware of during their 24 hours in the hospital.

So, all this to say, the money you raised by shopping in our sale is going to a wonderful place and making a stressful and emotional time in everyone’s lives just that little bit easier. So thank you all!

With your help we were delighted to make a donation to ECHC via Work for Good of £143.57. Look out for more opportunities to raise money for Edinburgh Children’s Hospital Charity in the future!
